Abstract

The author of this article presents various significant representatives of the profession of attorney at law in Romania, from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Most personalities mentioned along with their short biographies are women attorneys whose presence as graduates of law (including abroad, in France) and accession to the bar constituted historic precedents. The article is the first in a series of contributions in which leading personalities of the Romanian and international legal profession shall be presented.
